Influenced by a number of bands and styles (anywhere from Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones), to Southern Folk music (like salsa, reggae and mariachi ) , La Revancha as a band started in 2002 in Southern California (with a studio 6 song record called Locura) and then became a Rock and Roll touring Band from 2003-2005. This Folk + Latin + rock + World + jazz brought a positive vibe to the Northwest Ohio local music movement and beyond. Like a "new toy for a kid" band had a unique sound of grunge with blues trumpet and latin jazz style violin. Some of LA REVANCHA distinguished shows were at the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME, Cleveland, OH, Central Park NYC as part of the NYC Marathon Festivities and 2004 and 2005, as well as College Festivals in Western Michigan University. Kalamazoo , MI, Bowling Green State University , BG Ohio, Toledo University Ohio, TOLEDO MUDHENS STADIUM, Concert at the Ball park, a tour with Banda Bostik (Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana), the 2004 Immigrant Rally stop in Toledo Ohio, and performed at a variety of rural communities for migrant workers, large events, nightclubs, marches, and many other places. In a very humbling way , BG Sentinel and other local papers compared the band with a sound like Rusted Root or a " Latin DMB or U2 ".
In 2006 the band took a new direction in Southern California where it continues to perform.
